Terms of service
Last updated November 4, 2026
These terms apply when you use carterandbone.com or order from Carter & Bone Precision Engraving (“we”). By placing an order or sending a quote request, you agree to them.
Your engraving details
We engrave exactly what you give us. Please check spelling, dates, fonts and artwork before you order. You are responsible for the text and files you supply.
Artwork and content
By sending us a logo, design or text, you confirm that you have the right to use it. We may decline any job, including work that uses someone else’s trademark or copyright without permission, or content we consider offensive or unlawful.
Firearm slides and parts
Firearm engraving is quoted per job. We don’t accept complete firearms; send only the slide or part to be engraved. We don’t remove, alter, cover or obscure serial numbers or any other legally required markings, and we may decline any firearm job. You confirm that you lawfully own the parts you send us and that you’ll follow all laws that apply to owning and shipping them. Please contact us before shipping anything to us.
Quotes, prices and orders
Prices are shown in US dollars. Custom quotes are based on the details you give us and may change if the job changes. An order is accepted when we confirm it. Results can vary slightly with each material and item.
Shipping and returns
See Shipping & Returns.
Liability
If something goes wrong with an order because of us, our responsibility is limited to replacing the item or refunding what you paid for it.
